Casamigos Tequila, was created by longtime friend Rande Gerber, who is the husband of Hollywood stars George Clooney and Cindy Crawford. Initially, tequila should have been just for them and their friends, but thankfully they decided to release this wonderful product to the public.

Casamigos Reposado Tequila, Small batch tequila is made from the finest, hand-selected 100% Blue Weber agave that grows in Mexico’s Jalisco Highlands and matures for at least seven years. After harvest, the agave is taken to the distillery and processed within 48 hours to prevent quality loss. Thanks to the use of agave bagasse and a special extra-slow fermentation process that takes twice the time of the industry standard, the result is an ultra-smooth tequila with a deep and rich flavor.

1942 Casamigo, Aged for seven months in American white oak barrels, originally used for fine old whiskey, Casamigos Reposado presents itself soft and clean with notes of caramel and smooth surface.

Casamigos, a small batch, ultra-premium tequila made from the finest, hand-selected 100% Blue Weber agaves  grown in the rich red clay and cool climate of the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico for a minimum of seven years. After harvest, the agave piñas are roasted in traditional brick ovens for 72 hours, before undergoing an extra-slow fermentation process over an additional eighty hours, nearly double the industry standard.

The name  comes from the Spanish casa (house) and amigos (friends), thus “house of friends.”It was purchased in June 2017 by the multinational beverage company Diageo for $700 million plus up to a further $300 million based on the brand’s performance. The purchase equated to Diageo paying almost $500 a bottle.

The tequila was made just for us. We worked on the creation of this tequila  with our master distiller in Jalisco, Mexico for years, and held many blind tastings until we knew we got it right. We’ve been drinking our tequila with friends and family for over five years now. It was never intended to be released to the public. It’s all we serve at our homes in Mexico, so it’s literally our house tequila. We are delighted that consumers and tequila connoisseurs alike enjoy our award-winning spirit.

The result is an award-winning clean, crisp tequila, with hints of citrus, vanilla and sweet agave, with a long smooth finish. There’s little need for lime or salt, just enjoy it straight or with ice… and always with your nearest and dearest.

Tequila Casamigos Anejo , is ideal to drink as an aperitif or as a digestive. You can also serve it as a cocktail, such as the popular Margarita, Tequila Paf or Tequila Sunrise.
